I am currently working on a new project. I learned how to knit a couple months ago, and surprisingly have gotten into it, (still enjoy crochetting more, however I need a change every once in awhile). I've been knitting dishclothes, only have about 30 done, so guess what all my co-workers will be getting for christmas :) cheap and easy what can I say. However I wanted to do something more than just dish clothes, so I learned how to make a hand towel, and hot pads. I've been making sets of them, for family presents!!! I got one done, and now I'm working on a set for AJ and I. I was getting jealous that I was making all of these for other people in mind, and decided it was time for us :)
I don't have a good photo of that dish set, however I have a few photos of my other creations

New knitters crack me up so much. I love that you love making dishcloths. (You move up from that after a while).I have a ton of cotton around my house that will one day be dishcloths. You should try making some with shapes in the knits and purls.
Have you joined Ravelry.com, yet? You can find a lot of free patterns for cool dishcloths.
I wasn't trying to insult. When I first started, I made nothing but washcloths for the first two months. I made sets of four for everyone I knew. It was a lot of washcloths. So it makes me laugh.
