Hmmm, it's been awhile hasn't it? Well the holidays have come and gone, birthdays have come and gone.....and ALOT has happened in that time. Hence the reason it has been FOREVER since I've posted anything!!
We finally got the call in the middle of December that the banks accepted our offer!! We made an offer on this house the end of April last year!! We were SOOOO excited, so to make a very long story as short as possible. We were finally able to move into the house on January 29!! 9 months and 4 days after the auction!! and like I've said in the past it was definitely worth the wait! However we haven't necessarily been very healthy since we've moved in. AJ hurt his back while trying to get the kennel ready for the dogs (was not able to finish it) so he was laid up the first week we were here. Luckily the yard is fenced off good, so we can leave the dogs in the backyard and not worry about them (they probably have 1/4 acre to run around in!) the goal is to put them in the dog kennel when we are at work. And so I've been running my butt off, trying to get this and that, and get settled in, and so of course I ended up getting sick (does not help when I work 12 hour shift in an urgent care!!) so when my immune system is down, I don't have much of a defense system up against all the sick people we take care of! Things are coming along nicely now though!!
At first I thought the dogs would be out of control crazy maniacs when we first moved in. It's amazing, with all this extra room (we went from 700 sq ft house to 1742 sq ft, no fenced in back yard, to a fenced in 1/4 acre back yard, we have almost an acre). That the dogs are such nice calm dogs!! I'M LOVING IT!! They don't even hear me when I come home, they used to bark and jump all over me, now they don't bark when they see me they just come walking up to me to say hi, and then go back to what ever they are doing. So life is good, and it was worth the headache of getting the septic pumped and inspected, the well inspected, the water tested, dealing with a lazy phone company man, home inspection done to the house, scheduling different chain link fence guys to come out for bids to fence off the front of the house, fixing the siding on the house (before it was ours) I could go on and on. And most of those things happened while AJ was out of town! So trust me, I know what kind of house we bought! inside and out.
NOW it's time to begin our new lives in our new home!! I am finally finished with my Depo Lupron shots (my endometriosis treatment) no more menopause, well here shortly. I got my last shot on Jan 26th!!! so in a couple weeks, my hormones should start to come back. The only thing I can say about going through menopause at the age of 32-33 is, now I know what I am in for when I do finally go through it later in life. And it's not going to be that bad, I didn't have night sweats, hot flashes, if anything I was devoid of any emotion. If you can believe that! I had my Dr's appt yesterday and he said that we can start trying to get pregnant in 2 months!! I'm thinking now that we are in a bigger house, life is going to settle down into a nice comfortable routine, it should help the process of getting pregnant! AJ and I always said we would rather wait until we moved into our home before having children, and it seems to be working out that way.
I will try and do a better job at updating my blog, now that things are settling down it should be alot easier. And once I get more pictures of the house I will post those. I LOVE decorating this house!! oh and did I mention I have a jetted bathtub??? LOVING it!! so many different ways to relax here!!
